PUPS was founded in a spay and neuter assistance program. That is still our pirimary purpose, and we have helped spay or neuter over 10, dogs and cats for people who cannot afford to pay for it on their own.

We work with 20 vet clinics in 8 counties west of Houston - they do the surgeries and we help pay the bill. We average spays and neuters a month. We do not have a shelter facility, but have foster homes to take care of the animals we have for adoption. Many of our animals come from animal control facilities before they get euthan. Male, Adult American Bulldog. We have helped "fix" over 14, dogs and cats using 25 vet clinics in eight counties west of Houston. We also foster as many dogs and cats as possible. There are a couple of shelters now, but they are very small. Our goal is do reduce the number of unwanted pets in our area by encouraging spay and neuter and helping to pay the bill for people who cannot afford to spay or neuter their animals on their own.

We get calls daily to help place animals and have recently stepped up our ability to do this with the use of foster homes. We do dog adoptions there most Saturdays also. We have booths to promote spaying and neutering and have a few animals for adoption at many local events fairs, festivals in eight counties west of Houston.
