She fell in love with modelling at a very early age and launched her modelling career by the time she turned 18 — she was also very interested in acting, and is one of not that many people who have managed to make their multiple dreams come true.

Career as a model and an actress Karen has never had a full-time ordinary job, but has always rather been focused on her modelling and acting careers.

Her career as a model was launched in when she was only 16 years old — she entered and won the Miss Connecticut pageant, and thanks to her achievement got to sign with a prestigious modelling agency officially beginning her career as a model. After playing her final roles, Karen became a housewife and left her acting and modelling careers for a family life.

Karen has never talked about any other man she might have dated before Mark, and he appears to be her first and only love. She was into travelling while she was still acting, as her job demanded that she had to go all around the US to shoot the scenes she was appearing in — being an actress also made it possible for her to go around Europe and Asia as well.

She has always been a lover of animals, and has had two pet dogs who were growing up with her children, but who have, sadly, already passed away. Karen and her husband Mark have also done a bit of charity work throughout the years, and they consider themselves to be philanthropists.
