Voordat we gingen klimmen kregen we eerst instruktie van het zekeren, wat hier anders gaat dan bij andere klimhallen.
Ook de voorklimmers moesten eerst laten zien of ze dit wel goed in de vingers hadden. Nadat we allemaal waren geslaagd, hebben we hier een paar uur lekker kunnen klimmen. De redactie. We vertrokken vrijdagmiddag met een stralende lucht, dit beloofde een prachtig weekend te worden. En dat was het ook, zowel met het weer als met de prachtige wandeling die we zaterdag hebben gemaakt. De weergoden zonden ons een zonovergoten dag en de wandeling voorzag ons van mooie vergezichten.
Als vanouds was het onder het genot van een drankje en een goed gevuld hapje weer erg gezellig. De volgende dag had iedereen zo zijn eigen programma. Een aantal zochten de skipistes op, maar ook ging er nog een groepje wandelen om wederom weer te genieten van het prachtige Sauerland. Tot onze verbazing hebben we echter niet een versierd huis, laat staan prachtige praalwagens of een hossende menigte gezien!!!
En nee het lag nou ook niet echt in de buurt van Oldenzaal. Maar neemt toch allemaal niet weg dat we wat mij betreft terug kunnen terugkijken op een heel mooi weekend in het Sauerland. Alaaf, Thea. Maar het aantal toeristen nam daar fors af, nadat in een aanslag werd gepleegd op de Nanga Parbat. Daar kwamen tien buitenlandse alpinisten bij om. De vijftig agenten die nu worden opgeleid beginnen op de Nanga Parbat. Later zullen ze ook op andere bergen klimmers beschermen.
