Karen : I have a dark oak dining table chair that I bought at an estate sale which has a round logo saying Conant Ball Furniture Makers and in the center is CB with in the middle. Any idea how old it would be? Is there any way to date these pieces? Ryan : Is this page still active? AnneJMS : Ryan, I have not been here in quite a while, but would be happy to hear your comment or answer any question, if possible.
It has been a couple years since I wrote the blog, but I am still very much interested in the field of Windsors. Boston chair and was hoping to find out if there was any information on it. On the bottom of the chair is the original label but a piece has been torn off so unfortunately I cant make out the complete model number.
MAPLE Anyone able to identify this or glean anything about the company, piece, value? We have a large dining room table with six chairs. All have carved ball and claw feet. The chairs have black leather seats. I wish i could add photos here. From the info provided and the labels on the chairs, i date the set to be from The house was built in Our family bought the house in the with all the furniture included. Any further info would be appreciated.
Allison : I have a Contant Ball rocking chair. I wonder when it may have been made. At the top of the screen on the right hand side is a section labeled Ask Your Question and you can attach photos from there.
Thanks, Pat. With the circler logo stamp in the wood. I would like to send pics. Whats the easiest way to send you pics of these?.
I have the table and buffet as well for the set. My best guess is the chairs came as a set of 4. I have one extra so 6 can sit around the table almost comfortably. The table has two pull-out ends, no screws in the chairs nor the buffet except to hold on the back of it. Nice set, very simple design. Jerry : I have a rocking chair with the original square paper label that says: Conant Ball Co.
Boston Do you have any idea how old it may be or where I might find the information? Would like to have more information about the chairs history please. Jerry : I have an arm chair frame No seat or back cushion which appears to be maple with stamp on the bottom: "Conant Ball Furniture Makers" with and stamped below the Conant Ball furniture Makers stamp. I expect the numbers are the pattern number. It has short legs and could be a type of dux design, I am not sure.
