If you can see the water tower, you will have a great view of the fireworks. No viewing is allowed on the Plum Creek Golf Course property. Approximately minutes will cap off a day of fun. Start your day with a chip-timed 5k race through the rolling hills of Lago Vista, march in the parade, ride on a float or golf cart, or wave your flag and cheer on the colorful floats down Dawn Drive.

There will also be a golf tournament from 1 pm to 5 pm. Then hop on a free CapMetro bus and ride down to the Lago Vista Golf club and listen to live music, eat some delicious food, participate in pickleball, and enjoy the best firework show in town.

Lakeway is going big this year! Celebrate the fourth of July all weekend long with various activities and festivities the entire family will enjoy. Typhoon Texas will host a variety of festivities throughout the day, ending with a fireworks show.

All guests must have an admission ticket and reservation. The Sertoma Independence Day Parade will have giant helium inflatables and lots of patriotic pride. Or if you prefer, line the route and cheer on the parade from the sidewalks near your home or at the park. If you view from a public area, please be mindful of social distancing so all neighbors are comfortable viewing the parade. We will also be featuring our very own Cub Scout Pack , Boy Scout Troop and local Girl Scouts, in order to celebrate those scouts who ranked up this year but were unable to have a traditional ceremony.

Our very own neighborhood swim team, The Hurricanes, will also be there to represent! If you belong to one of these youth group, talk to your leaders about participating.

Cars should start lining up around am, and the parade will begin promptly at 10am. When the parade begins, please allow our first responder vehicles to pull out, followed by our invited organized groups. The rest of the line neighbors, local business vehicles, etc will then be signaled to fold in behind them.

The fire department has requested that all drivers pay attention and stay close together, not stopping at stop signs, to prevent confusion to others driving in the area.

Leaving Rattan Park, we will head down Tamayo towards Parmer, turn left on Osborne, turn left on Avella, turn left on Luling, turn right on Kiana, turn right on Amasia, turn left on Humphrey, turn right on Elkhorn, turn left on Pheasant Rock, turn left on Marimba, turn right on Grovedale, then turn right onto Tamayo. We will head down Dallas towards Parmer, turn right on Amarillo, turn left on Corpus Christi, turn left on Kerrville, turn left onto Greybull where Kerrville ends, turn right on Dallas, turn right onto Tamayo then proceed back towards the park to conclude the parade.

After the parade, drivers should head back to their starting line up areas, if they would like to participate in the decorating contest and find out the results. Canoeing, kayaking, and paddleboarding opportunities near you.
